What is new

Everything that has changed for you, newest first. No jargon, and no list of internal fixes nobody asked about.

Launch day

  1. New

A blog, a contact page and this changelog

Somewhere to read about posting Reels, a way to reach us, and a record of what changes.

    • The PublishClip blog, with an RSS feed, for practical guides on posting short vertical video.
    • A contact form for questions, bug reports and the Pro waitlist. Your message goes straight to the person who runs the site.
    • This changelog. Every change that matters to you gets listed here.
  2. New

    Delete your data yourself

You can leave, and take your data with you, without writing to anyone.

    • Disconnect any Facebook Page or Instagram account from the Accounts page. Its stored token and post history are deleted straight away.
    • Delete your PublishClip account from your profile. Your connected accounts, post history, uploaded videos and thumbnails go with it.
    • Remove PublishClip in your Facebook settings and Meta's data deletion request reaches us automatically. You get a confirmation code and a status page.
    • Videos are stored privately. Only short-lived signed links can reach them: one to upload, one to preview, one for Meta to fetch when it is time to publish.
  3. New

    Daily limits, retries and alerts

Posting should not need babysitting. When something does need you, you hear about it.

    • Meta allows each account 100 Instagram posts and 30 Facebook Reels a day. A post that would go over waits for the reset and goes out then, instead of failing.
    • When Meta rejects a post you see its own reason, and you can retry with one click.
    • If a connected account needs to be reconnected, we email you and show a notification in the app.
  4. New

    Media library and caption templates

Stop starting from zero every time.

    • Every video you upload is kept in your media library, so you can post it again without uploading it again.
    • Save captions and hashtag sets as templates, then drop one into a post with a click.
  5. New

    Scheduling, calendar and drafts

Line your posts up for the days you will not be at a screen.

    • Schedule a post for any time in your own time zone. The zone is taken from your browser the first time and saved to your profile.
    • A calendar shows everything you have scheduled and published, day by day.
    • Save a post as a draft and finish it later. Edit or reschedule a post any time before it starts to go out.
    • Duplicate any post as a new draft.
  6. Launch

    PublishClip is live

Upload once, post to Facebook Reels and Instagram Reels. Free.

    • Connect a Facebook Page and the Instagram professional account linked to it.
    • Your browser converts the video to the format Meta wants, then uploads it straight to private storage. We never run video software on our servers.
    • Write a separate caption for Facebook and for Instagram, with a live character count and a warning when an Instagram caption has too many hashtags.
    • Post now. A history lists every post and its status, with a link to the live Reel.
    • Mark realistic AI-generated footage as AI with one switch.

What is coming next

YouTube Shorts and TikTok are coming after the platforms review our app. A Pro plan with AI captions and team seats is planned too, and everything above stays free.
